So i ordered a set of yukon locking hubs for my D60. The quality is top notch btw....one side works flawlessly, the other side binds up if i fully tighten the cap bolts, if i loosen the bolts by even just 1/2 turn, it works flawlessly. what could be binding it up? i’ve taken it apart 3 times already, and can’t find any tight spots or obvious areas of concern. i also tried calling yukon but had no luck getting through.

The ring that the screws thread into is touching the knob inside. Probably coning in. Flip it over and try again.

ooo hmm ok i can see how that could happen, thanks for the tip! hopefully it’s something silly like that.

Is the stub axle touching the back side of the knob?

i’ll definitely check this before i slap it back together, maybe add a ball of grease on the stub to really see how close it is

I feel like csi Miami or some shit.

u practically r! sometimes the simple stuff will get u, I’m sure i would have got it, but u probably saved me an hr of scratching my head and inspecting parts haha
