Getting stuff all setup for Moab and found some axle shaft issues. The top pic is the yukon gm 60 stub I got from you guys a few years back, bottom is a superior inner that is only a year old (vendor is warrantying that one). Whats your policy on axle shafts? Not sure if it's a huge issue yet. Haven't pulled other side down yet. Thank you, can't wait till the bash.

If you bought it from us it's lifetime warranty. Give us a call and we'll get you settled before Blazer Bash.

Yep, bought em from you guys I think 3 years ago, still had the 1st gen K5 then. I'll check other side while I'm at it first. Thanks, Chris.

Do you think the slight twist in the upper shaft is a big issue yet? Just don't wanna break it in Moab.

That shaft has permanently yielded and making it completely fail will be much easier next time, we should have those on the shelf, give us a call and we should be able to get you a replacement this week

Sounds good. We are going on a camping trip run this weekend so will probably take it apart again Monday and call you. Thanks .

Im curious how often this happens. I had alloy USA shafts in my d60 with 40's and they did the same thing. I wonder if it really is worth the extra money to go with superior's vs yukons, I was looking at the superiors, but now I think imight just go with the yukons.

The yukon shafts are about three years old and the superior are a little over a year

to me, thats saying something. Are you still running a lockright? I am supprised at how tuff those little things are.

Yeah. Lock right is like 6 or 7 years old and still going strong.

Strange told my Dad in the late 70's that after a shaft twists like that, it will actually be harder to break. This was in a 500CID Hemi-powered Challenger he and his ex-bro-inlaw ran back then. I don't know how that will cross over into off-roading, but they never broke the ones that they twisted in it. :dunno:
