z link steering

Heres the deal, im building a strictly trail rig truck rigth now, but only usinga 10B front for the time being. Instead of spensing the $$ to order all of the crossover stuff (knuckles and all), I was thinkign of doing a z link. Basically take my tierod and flip it around, tie into it where the stabilizer normally would and build a z link, using 3/4 heims on each end. Im going to also run hydroassist, so there wont be as much strain on everything. Just dont was to dump $$$$ into the 10B that isnt needed, and want to get this thing going. Anyone else ever done this or have any input?

You might be better off with the stock steering. You might add a raised steering arm or something of the like, but I wouldn't go with the Z-link.

The greatest strength is in a straight line.

Also, with the stock tierod being hollow and fairly thin, I imagine the force exerted on it would collapse it.

stock steering wont work, im runnign 52's up front.
