what bass blockers did you get for your Infinity Kappa's? Im getting some and wanna make sure... also going to get that pioneer headunit and satellite radio. Thanks! Suggestions appreciated too before i buy anything

Just go buy the correct size caps and save yourself some $$. Tell me the freq cut-off you desire and I will tell you the caps to buy

hey readymix, thanks for the help. The problem is i dont know what i want or need, I just want these speakers to last

Depends on what speakers you are going with. After looking and reading up, I didn't get bass blockers, I just went with a amp that has a high pass crossover for the front speakers. I run the 4 speaker on high pass, and have a sub on it's own amp for all my bass needs.

im getting the 4x6 infinity kappa plates
Are you powering them with a amp or off the headunit ??? If headunit, does your headunit have a high pass crossover ??

im gonna run them off the headunit. im going to be using the one you installed in a buddies rig. that pioneer

With those at 2 Ohms you would run a 530µfd cap to block all freqs below 150Hz. That is the average crossover range for the off the shelf units.

400µfd would get you to about 200Hz

My Infinity Kappa 4X6 plate speakers are 2ohm speakers. Power them with the headunit for now, but look into a amp for them. They'll sound sooooooo much better and you can get a amp with built in crossover.
