I have skyjacker 8" fronts and a zero rate, can the zero rate be used with a shim? If so does the zero rate go in between the spring and the shim or under the spring and shim?
If the shim is cut with a flat for the head of the center pin, you should put the shim next to the axle. If not, it doesn't matter much, you'll put some angle on the pin either way. You might be a little better off with the zero rate next to the spring since we put a big radius on the top corners, if the spring will reverse arch (your 8's won't), it could help the pack a little.
