Tank of fuel on the trip to Indy netted 16.1...
Could the Duratracs cause a loss of 2-3mpg?

2nd tank coming home from Indy (285mi) netted 16.0
Maybe Ill throw the 245’s back on for a tank and find out.

I went from 19.2 mpg empty doing 75 on interstate from FL. with Cooper 245/75’s down to this low of 9.0 with 265/75 Duratracs towing 7k on the interstate @ 75.

Odometer mileage shows consistently 2% less than actual measured mileage over 50 miles on the highway markers.
Speedometer reads about 2mph slower than actual, measured by time/distance and gps.

Need to recalibrate the speedo with the upsize in tire. Check it with a Gps app on your phone for a idea on how far its out.

As posted above Dean, the 2% less actual road mileage difference is negligible compared to the 15+% drop in fuel mileage.

I also have the front air deflector below the bumper off right now. It was tore up so a new one is on order with a pair of new foglamps, headlamps and marker lamps. What a facelift!
I'll post up a pic when its all back together.

I bought aftermarket from Amazon because they had great ratings. Time will tell?
My old ones have bad seals, therefore moisture inside and eventually bad bulb sockets.
The news all fit great and look good, come w new socket seals too.

Did a wet sand w 1500 and a LOT of buffing on the hood w buffing compound and a wool pad....it finally came around, then I polished it w finishing compound and a wool pad. Still need to do a polish to remove swirl marks but I’m finally happy w the finish. That completes the “facelift”!
