Wanted to ask about bump stops.
Is there any noticed difference between the versions?
My 01 needs all front and back.

That's a bummer Dave, I'm sure you'll get it fixed.A couple weeks ago, we went to the races in Joliet, paid for tailgate parking (extra room to setup a canopy). While we were eating lunch a whirlwind came through the parking lot grabbing up the canopies that werent anchored down (I was one of the few that did), and a couple of them landed all over my truck and several others. It gouged the doors and tailgate, dented the box side, the roof and cap. Now I get to visit the bodyshops for estimates. Any guesses?
I was sitting right in front of the tailgate, lucky it didn’t smack me as well.

Got my truck back from the bodyshop today. They had it for a week. Turned out real good, and owner said they had to move the box back to properly do the bedside and back of the cab. He said it was so nice to have the bed bolts just come right apart, not fighting the rusty ones common to Michigan.
They repaired/refinshed both doors, entire roof, pass bedside, tailgate, and then fixed the caved in rear box corner, no charge, as that was previous damage. Completely repainted the cap too.Total charge was just over $4k, all paid by state farm comprehensive coverage!
Last pic is the previous caved in box corner. Look close and you can see where the bumper was pushed into the corner.

Looks great Dave!New tires/wheels.
I could not get the set of oem rims clean…when I got the truck 4+ yrs ago, I had theme sandblasted and powdercoated, and then never cleaned them regularly with a brush, and the brake dust embedded itself into the powdercoat. I tried rust neutralizer, iron out, a few different wheel cleaners specific for brake dust (Mequires/Adams/Turtle wax), scouring powder, even oven cleaner, with minimal improvement. They still looked dirty, So time for new wheels. Looked at a few aftermarket wheels. The ones I looked at were chrome or polished aluminum, because I think black wheels look hideous on this truck. The two I really liked weren’t available or had much more offset than I wanted. Even looked at some 17’s, but just couldn't find what I was looking for, so I decided to go back to the oem style. Which I really like anyways. I got Discount tire to match an online price of 147.75 ea. The wheels are discount #PR-156.
The tires are a Discount Tire/Goodyear collaborative effort that mimics the Duratrac brand. I really liked the Duratracs I had before, and these Ultraterrains are almost identical. And 280$ cheaper than the Duratracs. Im not sure where they cut corners on them, but they handle better than the General A/T’s that were on it, and are slight taller. 265/75/16E. 232 ea.
out the door for 1625. Selling the Generals to my brother to put on Norms 1948CJ2A. may try to sell the oem wheels.
I need to do a little detail work on the plastic trim, and clean and paint the frame and it’ll be looking pretty good. Previously the drivers side was its good side, with only a couple door dings and chips, but now its the other side.

Try turning up the dash light dimmer switch.Oh and this happened today….
Started the truck and the HVAC wouldnt work. Pushed the recirculation button and it started working, but no readout of the HVAC system, or the radio. the radio worked, but same thing no readout. Mileage indicator as well, just blank.
all the idiot lights come on when the key is turned to run/start. The speedo, tach and gauges work.
any ideas?
