Has anyone ever used a Zone lift kit? There kit seems reasonably priced. 4" leafs, steering correction, shocks, ubolts and blocks for 499.99. I prob wont be using the blocks part of the kit but I have a friend that wants them. Gonna do a shackle flip instead.

Heres the link:

call them and ask who the REAL maker is. It could be a re-labled Rough Country or something. $500 gets you IIRC the same kit from Rough Country. Spend a little more and you can get better front springs. Check out ORD. (like you don't already know about them) :)

Yeah I know about ORD thats who I was originally gonna get the front springs from. Just saw this deal and though I could save a little$$.

My thoughts exactly. If you look at the pics on the Zone Offroad Products website, the kit appears very similar to the Rough Country one. Doesn't mean it's the same, but they look a lot alike.

Also, Rough Country's kit with the lift blocks is $349.95, so if it is the same one, Zone is charging a bunch extra for it.

There actually made by BDS, from what I was told, for Zone. Reviews around seem to be good, but its a new company they aren't well know yet.

I have read a lot of things about rough country being bad because they ride really rough, but is that the only downside. Im just using the springs for the front of my tow rig, which already rides rough.

Im going to run the ORD custom leafs on my blazer. trying to get the 4" lift on the cheap for the tow rig so I can do my blazer as well.

If the Zone springs are really BDS I am in. I am looking at the 4" BDS kit for my 90 k5, $779.87 for the base kit that is very close to this zone kit. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Fwiw, I bought a Zone kit for my wife's TJ and have been very happy with it. I got it thru a friend that owns on off road shop and he told me Zone was a cheaper BDS based product line.

Zone and BDS are good people, that kit should be all good stuff. That said, the equivalent Tuff Country EZride system here would be $525, not much different. Hard to compete with that retailer's free shipping with anything other than the fact that we know the application years for this system aren't '77-87 only and maybe a few other details...

Keep in mind a lot of what looks like higher prices here are the fact that very few people we work with use a boxed kit like the ones above and by the time you throw the lift blocks out and change the shocks, ubolts and maybe steering you're back to the price of doing things part by part. No matter how you slice it the brakeline dropbrackets are cheeseball, you can't get these systems for a D60 front, etc, etc. Maybe we should be more public with the fact we offer the budget box stuff but everytime we deal with it the deletions bring us right back to selling part by part. For some guys it would work out though.

Thanks for the info Stephen. I am doing 4", I am stuck between the Tuff Country up front from you guys or the BDS up front. Either way I am using your shackle flip, brake line extensions, sway bar disconnect, and frame reinforcement. I heard both the BDS and TC EZ Rides are great springs. The only reason I swung towards the BDS is because the BDS on my buddies Scout and K5 ride smooth and I have never been in a K5 with EZ Rides. You are right about the prices and kits too, I priced every detail with 100% from you by the parts I want or kits then adding your parts and there really is not much savings when trying to get a total package together, normally it is more to go the kit route after shipping from multiple retailers.
