‘76 K10 SWB Silverado "Pops"- Off to its new home!

Mostly stock rebuild.
New harness swapped in, still no cranking at the key. I’m thinking there is an issue from the column side of things.

One day in my 76, the little rod in that the key tumbler connects to, broke. Does the key just not do anything or does the feel of the key seem to be light?

Small test drive to the road and back revealed a frozen shock and zero turning radius. So some trimming and shock removal are next on the list.

What ? Trimming? No...

Don't trim it !!!

You will regret it later!

Just like you regret beating up the k5. Keep this one as a nice driver!

If it is as rusty as it looks then trim away! No harm in removing the rusty bits.
Exactly what Luke said. It’s Rusty, so only a small amount of trimming while it sits as is. Then the 4” lift and new panels with zero trimming.
That’s a crazy good deal! Hopefully there is a deal like that when funds recover.

Decided to decode the vin this morning. I am really hoping this is the original engine as the 3rd digit on the vin(U) shows this should be a 400ci engine!!!
