‘82 GMC “Junkyard JIMMY” {Build bash Rebuild}

I think the new grille makes the Blazer look a heck of a lot better. Time to update your avatar pic. :waytogo:

Thanks!:waytogo:

IMHO It needs a winch.

...Escpecially now that the CK5ers I wheel with always break their sh!t trying to keep up with me.:haha::haha::haha:

(Just kidding Supermotard750 & Chickenrammit)

I'm usually the one that breaks something.
Now at TDS all you big axle guys are going to be doing cool jumps & tricks while I baby craw threw little rock gardens.

I shaved the little corners off the front diff.

No more of this:

Sometimes a 1/2 inch is the difference between pleasure & pain.

I'm getting pumped to go here!:

Sweet! I like OD green.
My update: On my last trail run the transfer case slipped out of 4hi. It has never done that before and was rebuilt not too long ago so something is up.
When I got home I was leaking a lot of fluid under the 208. Finally I got under there to check it out & the cross member is loose, 1 nut is missing, the one next to it is loose and it has dropped down about an inch from the frame.
So I went & got some grade 8's & replaced them when I notice the mounting bolts to the 208 are also loose, So I take out each bolt, clean it, add locktite, lock washer, and it stopped leaking. Then I notice the support bar that connects to the 700r4 is loose and missing a bolt.
I replace that bolt when I notice the one next to it is loose, and the next after is missing. The one that holds the tranny dip-stick.
So I worked my way around the bell housing tightening every bolt. They were all loose!
If I would have went on one more run with Chickenrammit I would have dropped my entire drive line!
I wish there was more daylight...So many bolts, so little time!

Damn that's crazy. Ioose bolts are never a good thing. I finally got the front end back under the truck. Getting the steering setup and the rest of the stuff tweeked

Eesh.....

Dan (1970worthog), lost 2 of his front-driver, hub bolts.
The other 6 (i believe) were loose....

It was crazy. :eek1:

4.56: gears ordered

Anywhooo...
I just ordered a my 4.56's :D:D:D. Anybody want to help me install? I need a press.
...or should I just pay a shop to put 'em in?

I have all applicable tools. But I've only put in one set lol you may want to see if they blow up in the next couple of runs

are you doing front and rears or just front and getting a 14bff?

I'm going to put them in front & rear and run it. I'll be the guy with the 1/2 tons for a while.
When I find the big axles it will take me a long time to build them up.
...unless I find some that are already locked and ready to rock.

... And if I do find the golden egg I can sell mine as is, or throw them on my back yard rig.
