‘82 GMC “Junkyard JIMMY” {Build bash Rebuild}

Your steering column tint screws are loose,a very common problem with that style gm steering column. You will just have to tear down the column and tighten them up.
It's not a hard process, just time consuming and you will need a couple of special tools.
A steering wheel puller, steering column compresser and and a tilt pin puller. All these tools can be had cheap from your local auto parts store .
Just go slow and keep track of all the little pieces and you will be fine:waytogo:

I have the other tools but I can't seem to find a 'tilt pin puller'.

I think it's GM tool #J21854-01. <<<LINK.

Search button is my friend again. :D

Edit: I'm Sofa king retarted. I just bought it and paid more for S&H than the price of the tool! :doah::haha:
Oh well...

that's it and a good price too

I used my cousin's Snap-On puller, OMG who knows how much that went for.

All done with only 1 leftover part.

Anybody know where this goes? I give you a hint, somewhere in the steering column.

I went to dinner at a friends house last night. For desert we tapped my 2wd steering box. :D

He also gave me some sick hydraulic lines from an F-18 and a water proof pelican case.

I strapped the case on top of my spare and it holds all my tool bags. It's the perfect size.

We use those cases at work to hold our portable line boring equipment and they're awesome. They've held up to an extreme amount of abuse and still work perfect. One of them the hinges broke off but they have so many latches around the edge it doesn't matter, just latch it on and go.

Gotta pay to play.

My CK5 subscription is one of the best investments I made on my truck. :pimp:

Me and the bride to be.

And one of the most expensive (for me) :doah:

We are up in San Fran for our engagement party. We just made the most expensive investment ever.

We put down $7K deposit on the resort in Meheko for our wedding.

It's going to be epic.
