I use to drive by Surplus Center almost every day. It seems weird to me that people all over this board buy parts from them.

I was thinking that as I pass by 3 hydraulics stores and 2 hose pros trucks per day here. 
The way I see it is if these guys have a good reputation here, I don't mind giving them my business.

I think the new fitting are for the wrong size hose. The male end is way too big to fit in the hose.
I should have ordered 1/4" hose x 3/8 JIC. I ordered 3/8" hose x 3/8 JIC. Sum beotch.

Yes sir, I threaded the outer sleeve over the top of the hose. It is the correct size.
The inner piece is way too big to fit inside the hose. It doesn't even come close to fitting. The ID of the hose is about 1/4" the OD of the inner fitting is about 7/16".
The 45* fitting you gave me works. It should be the same size eh?
It's a different style I looked at mine this morning the fittings that I got from them were much beefier. But they were the right ones. Little spit and pressure

I managed to get the hose end adapter on after all.
It only took 1 beer, 1 shot of Honey jack,
and a little bit of lube.
Like most dates, it starts with just the tip and ends with full penetration.
There's a trick to it.
