Making a template out of blue tape and paper.


I caught an edge with the grinder and it wound up in my shirt. I need to slow down, therefore I am posting more details.

Using CANCAN's envelope from the calendar I cut out a template of the side view of the windshield curve...

... And a template of the roof radius.


Now I need to turn paper into metal...

Using a solid 3/4" steel stake, a hammer and bench vise I smooth out the curve of the bend...

Well the 1st layer of thin metal is gone. I cleaned up the flakes and covered it in RUST PROOFING RED.

The heavy gauge metal appears to be in good shape.

Time to burn it in...
