‘83 C10 4spd Scottsdale-Gone but not forgotten. New replacement loading...

Mild restoration build to use as a truck should be used.
So picking this turd up next week. Basically got it for free through some horse trading. The plan is to get it road worthy with a new bench seat. Then use it as a hauling truck for brush and what not. Eventually I will do a mild restoration and continue to use it as needed. It will also split DD duties with the other 2 trucks. May keep it a while, might use it to trade up for something with more seats later down the road. Not sure what the end goal is yet, but running and driving for free was a deal I couldn’t pass up. Oh, and it’s got a 4 speed, so that’s kind of cool.

Floors are solid which is a big plus for me. The rockers aren’t gone, but will need to be replaced. Fenders are pretty toast and bed is pretty beat up along with rust. It’s going to get new inner/outer fenders from my work and maybe doors depending on how bad they are.

You don't live in Nebraska or Iowa. Not sure a truck of this shape should be in your wheelhouse.
Free running truck I can’t say no. At a minimal I will we fix it up a bit and make a profit.
Did you at least try to score this dually?

I did, but for some reason you missed a good joke. I don’t need 2 2wd 1 tons lol. But no really, I didn’t have the money that he wanted for it. I wasn’t really looking to buy more, but then he asked if I’d do a small trade for the ‘83. The round eye is very cool though. C30 with a big block.
Who said 4 speed?
Uh, wut?

What did he want for it?
He asked $1800. I offered $1500. He then said he had a guy say who wanted it for $1800, but was going to check and see how serious he was. Then I got a text later that day asking if I would trade an extra 208 I had for the '83. So I took it.

So I got a question, this thing has dual tanks. Does that mean these are the 16gal tanks? And are they the same side to side?

The guy said the tanks are super rusty, but don't leak. I think it would be worth it to put new in since I get them dirt cheap.

Long bed trucks are 20 gallons per side, short bed trucks are 16 gallon per side
