‘Burb would start but die. Could keep it running barely enough to get it on the trailer.
I’ve seen this before…had a good idea what it might be and I was right.
Now onto the next issue. It starts right up and runs perfectly for about 30-45 seconds then shuts off like ignition. Someone cut into the harness and spliced a wire to the o’2 sensor so I’m going to fix that first. Wondering if it dies when it tries to go closed loop.
So it runs good, then intermittently will just shut off. It will start right back up. Checked aldl and showing a code 42. Looks like it has a new Napa distributor in it. I wonder if that module is crap
try adding or removing vacuum from the advance can at idle in driveway. If it quits when the advance plate moves chances are the pick up coil is intermittent
No vacuum advance. Tbi truck. I did the diagnostic procedure for code 42 and the module is bad. Says it should have less than 500 ohms to ground and it has 5.6K
I ordered a ac delco one that should be here tomorrow
Ok. GM module is in and it fired right up like before. Let it idle up to temp and drove it around the neighborhood a bit. So far so good, no shutdowns or codes. Time will tell haha. Also got a new cat welded on and my old flow master off the blazer. I’ll have my exhaust guy run it out the back from the muffler once I get it road ready.
Next issue is the frame. Apparently it had a plow on it and the driver side frame rail got tweaked down. You can see where the flange kinked at the steering box. Looks like it won’t be bad to fix.
Some hungry little mice ate some of the hood insulation and feasted on the front lighting harness. Thanks to @kennyw I have a much nicer harness coming!
The vss speedo works after fixing those wires also.
