'04 Tundra DD/CC/6" lift/35s/OBA.... [Tire carnage...]

We pulled a BMW out of some deep sand, at the lake...
The dude had his girlfriend shoveling sand.
He also had pink shorts on!

:haha:

I just got a "52 in a 35mph zone" ticket.... :doah:

I kept messing w/ the cop, cuz it was a speed trap, and I hate the abuse of power.
I think it's WRONG to have stings against the common civilian, just cuz they know you'll pay.

I trainhorned his a$$ when I left, too.... :haha:

That's the way to do it! Thumbs up on that one!

The very reason why I'm not allowed to have train horns :D

Last week, my wife got an $18 - "Illegal use of a horn" ticket.
It'll cost me another $5 in gas to get to the court house.

I think they deserve a little payback, now and then.

Right before I left California when I got out I got a speed trap ticket in San Diego. Wasn't doing anything dangerous or different from anyone around me, just keeping up with the traffic around me and unfortunately was the guy in the rear of the pack.

Found some website that if you paid $25 walked me through protesting it and provided all the forms and who to send them too and such. I did it and got all my money back including the fine.

That was 11 years ago though.:doah: Don't remember the site.

I think all you have to do is ask when the last time the radar was calibrated and request a certificate. If they can't give you the cert, they can't prove the radar detector is reading correct.

At least that's what I've heard.

FWIW with recent budget cuts and the like you can almost guaruntee the cop has his recent radar cert, and he is gonna show up in court.

Ask my buddies :doah::haha::haha:

I'm very aware... No sense in fighting it.
I did the crime, I'll pay the stupid fine, and do traffic school.

It's small price to pay, to fly low....

SAS time.... Let's talk. :D

I'm sick and tired of alignments.
This IFS bullsh*t is coming out....

A D44/coilovers/3-link/panhard bar are going in. :deal:
The wife ok'd it, cuz in her words; "whatever fixes the problem, is fine."

I explained how it will track differently over bumps,
and how the feel will be different, but how it will be better overall.

I can buy a D44, and rebuild it,
for what it would cost to R&R every bushing, R&R the Steering Rack,
and align it every other month... :doah:

As opposed to a one time rebuild, and driveway alignments.
I also explained to her, that we could adjust a solid axle,, on the side of the road.
Yer just stuck, w/ IFS...

She said it's cool. :woot:

Question is, which 44 should I use?

I found a HP-D44 out of a '78 ford, for $100 on CL.

Not sure if I should go HP-D44, or chevy, or what?

I'm really only worried about width, and gear rotation.
The perches will be removed, new knuckles, and a full rebuild will take place, etc.

The front T-case output, on the Tundra, is dead-in-the-middle of the truck.
So, I guess I could go either way on Diff. locations.

Does the Ford D44 rotate opposite of the Chevy, or anything wierd like that?
I seem to remember something of that nature...

High Pinion reverse cut front D44 > Chevy D44 all day long. Then you can bolt whatever D44 outers you want on. Yours is still 6 lug right?

What side does your T case's front output drop on?

The Ford front has reverse cut gears. Basically means the gears are meshing on the strong side. Using standard cut gears in front means they're meshing on the back side that isn't as strong. Makes the reverse cut gears stronger.

Spin the same direction but cut in reverse of standard rotation rear axle gears.

GM outers bolt right on.

Bad a$$... :thumb:

You dont want that axle. it has the cast radius arm wedges, otherwise i would havr already biught it lol. basically the axle tube stops, cast wedge that is hollow, then another tube to the c. you want one with welded mounts.

abd reverse cut gears are stronger, just not in reverse.
