OK, from the post just below, I've upgraded my shocks to the Bilstein 5100's and the ride has been nice. Over the past month or two, the front end seems to bounce a bit more than normal (to me) when I hit bumps. Feels like the tire is bouncing excessively and not really gliding over the bumps very well.

So, assumed that the shocks must be going bad, so talked Amazon to replace the front two under warranty. Did take some back and forth, but they eventually sent me a new front pair. Didn't want to push replacing the backs too.

Replaced them and really, not feeling much of a difference. :( Still seems to excessively bounce. They were genuine GM ones.

Read that the Control Arm Bumpers could be bad and a lot of reviews say it changed their truck ride night and day. So after looking at mine in not-so-good condition, I'm thinking this is the problem. Well, after replacing, I'm not really feeling any vast improvement.

Any ideas? Can the Torsion bars create this if getting too worn??

looks like you're riding on those bumps a lot eh? Ever torqued your torsion keys?

Truck came that way at 18,000 miles. I'm now at 175k. I think the previous owner cranked them up a touch but not positive. I also think there is an extra leaf in the rear.

3/4 ton truck though so hard to tell 100%.

3/4 tons are a little different than the 1/2's so that clearance might be normal.

I did the ball joints a few years ago and appeared to be tight. I didn't look at the control arm bushing too much. I'll take a look at them....

My old 05 1500 crewcab had that bounce/flutter over bumps. I replaced everything I could think of and it still did it. I have no idea what else it could be. But I've read of others with the same issue in them years.... :dunno:

I hope you find it, Because it is annoying.

Yea, just bugs me more than everything. Just seems to be a little rougher driving than it use to and I do a lot to keep this rig and the blazer working good.

Just swapped the steering box on the Blazer with a new Napa one....big difference! Didn't realize how much slop was generated after only 2 years. Fortunately, warranty replacement.

I've had plenty of issues with my IFS front ends but can't think of any bouncy symptoms with any of them. Plenty of wandering, generally sloppy front ends so I've been through every balljoint, inner/outer TRE, bushings, bearings, axles, pitman arms, shocks, end links etc.
