09 Tahoe Hybrid - Kid Hauler

Which bumper?

I was trolling FB marketplace last night and spotted a set of the Fab Fours bumpers for this truck locally. Went and snagged them this morning $800cnd for both. It even came with a Smittybuilt 10k winch (Needs a new solenoid pack and a wire rope)

I need to get lots of new hardware for everything as the guy got a little acetylene torch happy removing it, but its all there otherwise. Its the version with the pre-runner push bar instead of the full guard for the grille. I intend to cut that off and get a local fabrication shop to put together a more ARB style grille guard on it instead. I also need to modify the rear bumper to allow for the installation of the parking sensors out back. I will also likely add a swing out tire carrier to the rear bumper fixed into those two big bumps on either end of the bumper.

It'll need new fog lights and turn signals for the front and I'll put the smittybuilt winch on my trailer and swap the warn 9.0Rc comp winch I have on the trailer right now into the Tahoe. Nothing like a $2500 competition winch on a trailer lol!

Fully enjoying this truck, by the way! Solid daily driver and it has been very reliable for me. I had a couple of fix-me-ups that are normal with an older high mileage rig, but all in all it's been well taken care of.

that’s a steal. And one of the few that has a matching bumper for the rear of the suv.
Put a front on my bosses truck because he wanted the option for matching back later. Liked the product.
Can’t wait for installed pics!

Well, I had an unfortunate mishap where I wound up rear ending an old beater car with my Tahoe a little over a week and a half ago. Damage to my vehicle included a shattered front bumper cover and a slight bend to the wing of the bash bar behind it.

I dropped the Fab Fours bumper off for powder coat the same day of the accident and got it back today. I fit it up, but found that the hybrid grille and hood is different than a normal Tahoe. They stick out 3-4 inches further than a normal Tahoe does and has a notch in the hood to go around it. I was able to trim the bottom of the grille and place it on top of the bumper vs having it sit behind. I have to squish it just a little bit to fit it in, but it is good and secure. I just need to drill two holes to secure the bottom of the grille to the bumper and finish lining everything up / bolt up it tight.

I scored a cheap Warn 10k winch from our version of Harbor Freight (Princess Auto here) for $700 cnd brand new (that's about $2.99 USD btw haha) shipped to my door. They are normally $1100 shipped. I also ordered up the new light pods, turn signals and fog lights to install in the bumper along with new mounting hardware. Not sure when either of the two will show up, but both can be installed with the bumper on the vehicle.

I think it looks pretty good. I don't think I am going to bother with getting the brush guard modified anymore. I'll fit the rear bumper up sometime down the road after I do the solid axle swap on this thing haha

Dude...you forgot to "social distance" while driving?

Brush guard looks A-OK to me? Not sure why or what you'd change there but I think it's 100% fine.

Good to see an update on the Ho-brid!
