I was at vatozone getting some things and asked if they had a conversion joint. This is what they have. $8.99. Should I risk putting this in? Or get the Napa #447? What do you think? Its going in a 1/2ton driveline to a 14 bolt.

I'm not sure on your rig specs, but it would prob be fine just driving. Although it may not like hard wheelin or towing.

Temporary, I wouldn't hesitate, but I prob wouldn't use it permanently

I like the shinny pedal A LOT!! Not towing, but wheeling as hard as I can, being so big! 87Burb 10" and 38"s

Im just going to get a few Napa 447s. for 8 bucks, i had to get it to check it out!

something's not right with it then, cause everytime i got a price from them, purchased one, it was like $25 or so...

i DID buy one from them in the past, and yes, it had to be replaced in about 6 months, went with a Napa and been running it for the past 3 or so years now.

had a buddy bought a u-joint for his burb, within an hour of driving, it shattered, into many pieces. he picked up the pieces and cleaned them up when he got home, inspected this POS and found that the holes drilled down through the centers for grease, were all off center, severly.

awesome junk. only certain parts i will buy from a "discount auto parts store" now.

Thats a Neapco part #....not sure about the quality of that brand, but I've used cheap "Amgauge" u-joints with no issues, but then I dont do many burnouts or have a lifted rig either...since most ALL parts are now made in China, its a crap shoot as to what your actually getting nowadays..

I have seen Moog ball joints fail in 5K miles just as quickly as the "cheapie" brands..I buy the cheapest parts now,I figure why pay top dollar for a brand name BOX and still get inferior quality parts??..I see it many times, that the "good" brands parts only COST more, and are not "better"..probably came from the same factory in China..

Auto-Zone's "Valuecraft" brand is pretty crappy though, all the parts are mexican made mostly from that brand..the stores here are phasing them out ,too many complaints from customers !..they might have a "extra heavy duty" U-joint the same size as that one that has no grease passages drilled in it ,but has greasable caps with fittings instead, for more $$$$...they are a lot better and I prefer using those on the axle joints over a regular one..
