I have seen it eluded to in a couple threads recently that installing a Dana 60 will give an inch of lift. Is this so? I am doing a 2" spring up front and a 2.5" shackle flip in the rear in hopes of being about level. If the 60 adds I need to go back to the drawing board.

I would imagine you could pickup about 1" in the rear by adding zero rate's...that could help. they are cheap too..

Yes thats true. I had to put a 1" zero rate in the back to level it out after the 60 swap. Kevin

Well, I have to run a 5 degree shim, that will add some. I will call ORD and get their heavy duty shackle if need be. Hopefully it will be sitting on all 4s tomorrow and I can measure.

Thanks, now I know what to be expecting.

What axle to you have in the rear? If its a 14b then it should cancel out any change from the d60 since it raises it as well (perches are taller and thicker axle tube). The back end of my truck is taller now than the front that I have the 14b, that'll all change with frnot 52"s tho :D

Actually, the lift measurement is closer to 5/8" more over the D44 or 10b if you install a D60.

Too many people claim of 1" but it just appears that way. Optical illusion I call it. You can figure the numbers yourself if you have both axles to measure from. I did and came out with 5/8".

This is exactly how i came up with 3/4" from my stock 10 bolt to the D60.

What are the differences in heigth on the 14FF between a 3/4 and 1 ton? I know the 1 ton perch is slightly taller.

That i couldn't help you with. My 14ff doesn't even have factory perches on it anymore anyhow. I had my buddy make me some beefy 1/4" thick perches on a CNC machine.

I'll measure tomorrow on the 3/4 and 1 ton axles I have out in the yard.
