I bought a 77 or 79 1 ton chevy for the front 60 but I am trying to figure out what all I can use from the truck on my blazer so my question is

Are the rear springs 56's is there any reason I can't or shouldn't use these for the rear of my blazer since I am doing a 4 inch shackle flip anyway they seem to be arched more than my current springs

This won't move my axle front or back will it?

And since these are 1 ton springs will they be too stiff and which leaves should I remove if any?

I searched and mostly came up with stuff concerning the front and so I decided against using 52's up front but I am still confused over the rear

yes the 56's springs are really nice in the rear. you remove from a 10 leaf pack every other one and that works good for my blazer, but it all depends on if you use it as a truck still or just wheel it or daly drive it. 5 leaf 56s are my personal pack, but have had 8 in my blazer before. rode like a cement truck.

the 56's will only move your axle 4" backwards if you have them switched around backwards. i have mine in the stock position with the shackle flip in the 52s spot with a 7" shackle. works like a dream and rides like a caddilac.

another thing off that truck that i think is valuable is the hydroboost brakes.

i am in the same boat, i have 1ton springs in rear of my blazer now and yes it does ride like a cement truck..:doah:

this may be what i need to do (remove every other spring)
so that works?
will i lose any height?
i cant afford to lose height cuz i already runnin a 4" block too...

yeah, they will flatten out some. and you will lose the height of the leaf you took out.
you have a shackle flip and a block? might try a zero rate or a set of rear lift springs.

ive got a 4" flip kit, 7" long shackle and right now 6 leaf 56s and a 4" block with 42" iroks. they fit and flex great.

no shackle flip, just 1ton rear springs that are stiff and thick as hell, that with the 4" block level out my truck with my 8" front springs.
so i guess removing leafs isnt a good idea for me, as i dont want to get into shackle flips, i think i jus need to find some 8" rear springs.

How much is the hydro boost worth? I don't really think I want it will it go bad from sitting the truck has sat for 5 years up until last night when I got it running
