I've got a 1990 2wd Suburban with a 10 bolt rear on it's way out. I use it for towing so I thought maybe a change instaed of a rebuild. So what fits?

I have a good 12 bolt with 373 gears which would be perfect and I beleive bolt in. But it's six hole wheels and the 2wd suburban is five hole. So how or where can I get five hole axles etc... I'll change backing plates, brakes etc... but don't know what will fit from what...

Did the 12 bolt you have come out of a truck? I imagine so if it is a 6 hole. If so any 71- 80 12b axle out of a truck, blazer, sub ect. 6 or 5 hole should fit. IIRC they are both 31 7/16" long and have the same size bearing.
Fairly common axle. Should be able to find in a bone yard or ebay.
