I knew they were built as a unibody but I thought they had given name - Maybe not?
I seem to remember them having a name, what it is escapes me.
Maybe it was unibody.
I didn't know they lacked a frame underneath.
I have seen a couple before, both baby blue.
Ford produced approximately 40,535 "Unibody" (integrated cab and bed) pickup trucks between 1961 and 1963. This unique design was only offered on two-wheel-drive F-100 and F-250 Styleside models. Ford discontinued the design after 1963 due to structural flexing issues and returned to traditional, separate cab and bed construction.Because these integrated-body trucks were notorious for bed misalignment and doors jamming when hauling heavy loads, survivors are rare.
