Hey all I have a 1991 k5 with the stock 10 bolt rear end. Things got a 4 inch suspension lift on 35s and has 4.56 gears and a pretty stout 454. Thing keeps bending the locating pin in the leaf spring pack. What are my options for anti wrap bars. All I see are kits for the 14bolt and I'm not planning on going that big it's not that serious of a wheeler. Thanks for the help I really want to keep it as my daily but this is getting annoying.

Ruffstuff has a setup for you where you can select the tube diameter

What 14 bolt kit are you looking at? You would need the tube bracket reworked or remade for the smaller tube size.

I am sure a could CNC some brackets if needed.

My kit was way too small for a 14 bolt. It probably would have fit a 10 bolt. I think it was Ruff Stuff, I'll have to look.

Here is a thread to look at.

long time solid parts seller in the off road game . i have gotten lots of stuff from them .

another vendor here and long time member .

and also chenge out the center pin to grd 5 bolt and just round the hex off for a tight fit in the perch hole . and if your still running 9/16 u-bolts scrap them and go 5/8" for more clamp force and there a basic direct swap in . and get good custom made ones not cheepy in a box from off shore brand x at the local parts store .

I seen a 14 bolt on diy4x but I don't want to buy a kit that don't fit then pay to get custom work done rather get something somewhat made for a 10bolt

Thanks man!

Thanks for the Info folks I went ahead and order the roughstuff kit so here's hoping that helps. Definitely can't be any worse. This 454 really making life hard for that rear end tho haha

I understand not wanting change bolt circle on your truck.

But 454+35+4.56 on a 10 bolt =fuse

A later model semi floater 14b is the ticket.

10b, 35s 350, th350. 308rp

It's got good yukon gears and a grizzly locker too so when it does go im sure it'll be at the axel shaft. But it's not beat too hard like I'd mentioned it's my daily so when I offroad it I know I need it for work on Monday haha

best part of these kits is no change in ride quality or flexability off road . but the control of the axle wrap is huge .

might think about having the axle tubes to center section welded up also . sometimes the tube being held with the anti-wrap bar can let the center section spin on it as the factory press fit and tiny plug welds pop loose .

Noted, im having a shop do the install I don't trust my weld work ill let em know

IMO something is wrong if you are bending this many center pins…are the spring really soft and allowing the rear to rotate? You could weld on a set of longer perches from a place like Barnes or Ruff stuff, that went a long way on stopping axle wrap for me…
