10 Bolt Flat top Knuckle

if you have ord springs then best bet call ord as thay will have the best info and your specs handy in front of them for the springs to figure it all out. :thumb:

but all you need is 2wd box / pitman arm / drag link and ends / steering arm and a pass side knuckle that setup for a arm if its not a already done knuckle or dana 60 king pin design .

Don't I need a drivers side knuckle to? :doah:

I have been talking with Chris at ORD a little and asking a few questions about this setup. I don't remember the exact details the springs were made at.

Take a deep breath lol.

Just go look at your knuckles and the way the tie rod goes in. The 44 flat tops are going to have it on top. Where your ten bolt knuckles have it on the bottom.

So get a setup to make it match your current driver side knuckle. Or get both.

I was just outside looking at it and that makes sense, I guess I over reacted and thought more $$$$$

So you drill out the knuckle slip that in and it matches the passenger side?

How safe is it?

Cuz the nut will hold it flush....

I would still want to see the cross section view and know how much material is holding things together... but you can always put a washer on there to spread the clamping load too.

I feel bad for causing so much confusion for ya Baba...

like any thing else, there are many paths to the same destination...you have several ways to do this, you just need to figure out how much $$$ you want spend to get there.....

there are many great builds here, they all do things a bit different. Plenty of folks trying to help, I don't think any of them is saying "this the gospel about xyz!".

Like Adam suggested, take a deep breath, release it, and relax. You'll get there :waytogo:

No worries, thanks for the reply. I didn't realize there was so many ways to accomplish the same thing.

TTT still looking for a knuckle.

I have a knuckle.....wait it gets more interesting..... it was off my 76 d44 3/4 ton, a local machine shop drilled and tapped it but one hole was off by 1/8" so I couldn't use it. They offered to make me a steering arm to match the bolt pattern but I had a matching set of high steer arms from ORD already. if you are capable of machining your own arm, you can have it for $20 bucks plus the ride. I kept it because its still a good replacement arm if needed. ( too bad I sold the axle)
