10 bolt front, 12 bolt rear plus 454. 37\" tires or no.

I want 37" tires however I have a 10 bolt front and a 12 bolt rear. I also have a 454 in my 82 K5. I will not be doing crazy 4X4. More for looks. Will I be able to get away with this setup or should I just stick with th 35's even though there so small these days. I plan on going to 4:10 or 4:56 gears. <font color="black"> </font>

I would go 3/4 ton and put 4.88 or 5.13 gears in, especially if you intend on running an automatic transmission.

Like Tim says, "Go 3/4 ton" you will be a lot farther ahead in the long run, plus fewer headaches!

with a 454 and 1/2 axles your just asking for problems, no matter what size tire you run. the bigger the tire, the more stuff your gonna break.

like the others said, go with 3/4 ton axles. if all your doing is for looks, all you need is 4.56 gears for the 37s. if you want it to be able to accelerate quite fast, go with 4.88 or lower.
