10 bolt front gears

ok i have to find some gears for my front diff now that i have 4.10 in the rear. what should i look for(and where)?i cant ramamber if i need reverse cut or not(been away from wheeling to long damn racecars). anyhow used would be ok since its going up front and it wouldnt be engaged all the time right? thanx for the help cause i feel retarded. /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

iirc the front gears on a 10 are identical as the rear. not sure where to look though.

Well there is no such thing as a reverse cut GM Corporate 10.. But there are reverse cut Dana 60's(have 10 bolts ont he diff cover) and the D44 which have 10 bolts on the diff cover AND on the ring gear.. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I got a set of yukon 4.10s for the 8.5 and a 30 spline auburn posi i am selling. I removed them after 1 year of use in the front differential of my blazer.(which probably translates in to less than 500 miles) Only took them out becuase i went to 5.13s and a powertrax locker. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gifpm me if intested

Just a hint to the original poster the Dana 44 & 60 diffs have about 4 straight inches of up & down flats on each side of the covers.

NEED HELP are front gears different than rearend gears

want to learn more about gearing. i have an 83 k-5 blazer, i have been looking for 4.10 gears for the front 10 bolt. i have been looking for used gears. i hardly use 4 wheel. i have came across people selling 4.10 rearend gears. can i use the gears. does it matter. help me out guys, i need the the CK5 smarts....
