10 bolt Military axles lockers front and rear??

I was stationed at ft. irwin back in 1984. this post brings back memories except for the cucv you speak of. never saw them. I was part of the het platoon, used to haul the tanks out to the field so they could play war games. Oh the fun we had. :D

glad this has sparked some memories!!

going to try to talk to the guy later this week....still debating it since if that is a govt bomb rear its gonna take swapping that thing out, etc....if I can score a 6 lug SF 14 bolt cheap, id probably wanna do that instead of the 10 bolts...Id hate to put the 10 bolts in and spend any extra money at all setting them up, then blow one of them (i blew 2 10 bolts in high school)...

I am actually the one who bought these axles from the gentleman in Norco. Both the front and rear had the above lockers. Definetely not gov-locks but look like detroit's.Both had 4.10's confirmed as i dropped the covers on both and counted and read the stamping's. Best of all they had aftermarket axle shafts to beef them up a lil. I got them for $500 and paid him another $100 to install them. So for $600 i got 4.10's, front and rear lockers and beefier axle shafts and never had to get dirty. Sometimes you luck out on CL. It was my turn i guess.

LOL yeah i did. I mean they are still ten bolts but with the lockers and aftermarket axles they will be more than enough for my fire trail excursions and camping trips.

I say get the front only
you said you already have a 12b that has been holding up
I mean they are only 10b we are talking about here, steal the front locker and drop it in your front axle. Unless it fits in your rear, do that lol.

They are ten bolts but look like Superior axle shafts both in the front and rear. As well as detroit lockers both front and rear with 4.10's This was confirmed when we took the axles out to change the other seals because they had been sitting awhile and the shafts are the same diameter all the way to the splines. They dont narrow like factory ones do. Whatever the military did to them they spent quite a bit of money. I have a friend who works on diffs and after he looked at them he said those diffs front and rear are worth more than what you paid for the whole truck. LOL I lucked out.
