10 bolt rear ???

Wondering about the difference between 2wd and 4wd. I have a 2wd 3.73 rear, wondering if I could just swap the axles and drums and bolt it into my 4wd or are there other issues involved?

no other issues.... 4wd usually have bigger brakes.... might need the backing plates as well

I did it on a 12bolt without problems. Luckily brakes were the same, just swapped axle shafts.

Brakes are the same on the two axles. Yes what about the shock mounts and pinion angle, any difference?

get a rear from the same truck or the perches will be off by a few degrees. i just came to that conclusion after a few months of trouble with it. i put a longbed pickups rearend in my k5 and thats was a 9* difference down. if youre ok with cutting and welding new perches this shouldnt really rise any big problems.

Well this would be from 2wd burb to 4wd burb.

you could always get a shim to correct pinion angle if it is an issue. 2wd burb to 4wd burb shouldn't have much of a difference
