i still think thats the best way to do it. i find 3/4 ton fronts all the time for 200 bucks. that and with converting from 6 to 8 lug most likely u will need to do a gear swap. so go pick up a set of 3/4 axles with 4.10 gears and i think that u will be happy.
I am doing the 6-8 lug swap, I got my stuff for $60 so that is a plus, if you get the correct year you dont need the spindals just the backing plate and hub rotor assembly.
