10bolt hubs, mini-spool changed to open, spicer shafts/ujoints *pics* 8lug

unlocked, open diff

Empty Housing freshly cleaned

Spicer axle shafts and ujoints

Now I need to know what to torque 10bolt ring gears down to? Do you use thread lock on ring gear bolts?

The reason I pulled it down is I'm swapping on my flattops and 8lug stuff. I sold the mini-spool but the cross pin would not come out without pulling the gears off /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif SO, I need some hub bearings and maybe a couple new seals and then put everything back together once I run it through the parts washer /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Pinion Brg. Preload In. Lbs 24-25 (NEW)
Pinion Brg. Preload In. Lbs 10-15 (USED)
Ring Gear Backlash .005-.009
Ring Gear Bolt to case Ft. Lbs. 90
Side Brg. Caps Ft. Lbs. 60

Yes. I use thread lock, red. Then again I am /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gif
