So then where’s the picture of what got smashed by that axle?

here are awesome pics of the torched assembly. My guess is a combination of a couple problems:
1 possible warped backplate to begin with, it was lurching a little at idle
2 parking brake cable was completely seized
3 wheel cylinder failed

Yeah, hopefully my BS will help someone else! I know GM moved away from 2.75 pads so I gotta imagine im not the only one who is going to encounter this hunt for parts.
Not a perfect fix, but better than buying a whole new rear end!
