I'm trying to located a used 4.10 ring and pinion set up for a series 3 carrier (thick gear), or 4.10 with a 4 series carrier. If you got one taking up space in the shop let me know what it would take to help you clean up.

4.10' ring and pinion

I have a set of 4.10's (very good shape ) out of a 14 bolt FF

how would I be able to tell if they are the set you need ?

Easy, 14b ff is 10.5 inch ring gear
12b is 9.25 inch or 8.75 I can't remember, so that means it won't work.

One question are you looking for just gears or gears and carrier. I have a complete ready to drop in set that has the 4.10 gears and carrier with the pinion installed in the pinion support so all you have to do in install the pinion carrier into your axle with your pinion shim and drop the carrier in adjust to the factory specs. $175 for the complete ring gear, pinion in the pinion support, and carrier. If interested leave a pm.
