It may be Thursday for y'all, but I work a 4 day week (4 ten hour shifts) so it's Friday for me...

Wish I was so lucky. Just got told today that they want my shop open till 8 Monday-friday and 6 on Saturday. So now not only do I Have a 1 day weekend every other week I will have to work till 8 every other week. Those hours will actully loose about half or our revenue because my Installer that makes about 75% of the revenue will loose half a day every day to cover the shop. Then they are going to rate my bonus on profitablility. WHAT a CROCK!
Gee they promote they are a family company but every other week I will only get to see my 2 kids for about 30minutes before the oldest goes to school. The youngest takes her nap not to long after that.
Time to find a new posisiton in the company and get back to a 9-5 or at least a posisiton that I get paid some better cash for screwed up hours.

My shift is afternoons...I work from 3:30pm to 1 am Monday to Thursday. I took this shift a few years ago to be able to raise my daughters with a minimum of daycare...

The downside is I don't see much of my wife during the week...

3 more years and the youngest will be in grade school and I'll go back to working dayshift.
