is there supposed to be a nipple in there? i have looked up pictures and i cant find another 14 bolt with those in...

i dont know what it came out of originally but im trying to remove my lift blocks in the rear and then there is these damn nipples and im straight stumped.... cant have my truck like it is where i live for long and no that i found this out i have no clue what to do. i looked up pics of other 14 bolts and none have that nipple k30
10+ years as a truck guy and mechanic i tell ya the pin is rusted/wedged in the hole. if you look close in the pic the hole tapers down to the center of the pin.
cheeper lift blocks run a drilled hole with a light pressed in steel pin. thay can and do come out. i have had them fall out new out of the box before. so its easy to get one frozen in the stock hole.
Seemed kinda weird to have the pin instead of a hole, but

hay dremu what will realy blow your mind is the newer trucks with 2 centerpins in the spring pack and perchs.![]()

Yeah, well, longevity isn't on the mind of the Big Three as of late, I don't think.prob both reasons.
but what has me and a lot of old time spring shop guys stumped is why 2 pins that close . ?
any hole in a leaf is a weak point of the spring steel. then 2nd that close almost = early death. but its workin sofar so go figure.![]()
Weirdness is, though... I remember when I first saw those 7-lug Fords, did a quadruple take counting them.
