I recently bought a 14 bolt rear and plan on doing a disc brake conversion before I put it in. bought the calipers and the rotors and some mounting brackets put I was wondering if anybody out there had a parts list from when they did it that could help me out cuz I've never done it before

when i did my disc swap i bought 3/4 rotors,3/4 calipers,diy4x brackets that came with the bolts and spacer. and 1978 chevette brake lines (soft lines)...and pads of course. you might need to buy an inline proportioning valve, i luckly didnt need one. to figure it out, put the brakes on and drive with it, get on the brakes hard and if the rear lock easily then u might need one. hope this help you...o ya, all the parts i got from napa, i just told him a 87 k20 to look up calipers and rotors.

Kind of a highjack question (for which I apologize) but, it is related: Can you use your stock master cylinder (k5) with a Dana 60 front 14BFF rear w/discs swap? Will it actually move enough fluid for the larger brakes? Thanks!

Look just below the Photo Gallery section at Tech Articles, it's in there.

ya, i dont think that it matters much from a 3/4 front to a 1 ton front on a rear disc swap,i still have my stock master cylinder and they work fine but if you want stronger brakes, you can use a 1999 c3500 master cylinder with stock rear disc's, there was a thread on it a couple of weeks ago and he put it on and said the brakes worked a lot better....i still want to do that too.
