14 bolt ff

Idk on the ratio im getting rid of my 3:73 im not planing on putting it in right away i wnat to to find a dana 60 to go with it it's in the back of a crew cab at junkyard so the spring plates are going to have to move
 
The price isn't unreasonable, but it is better if it is a ratio you can use (3.73/4.10/4.56 were commonly available stock). If you plan to re-gear, look for a 3.73 or 4.10 ratio axle as they use the more common aftermarket gears.
 
That's about how much I paid for mine at a junk yard 1/2 off sale.

I vote yes. They are way easier to Swap gears than a 10 bolt.
 
I paid $500 for a CUCV 14ff with 4.56s and a locker, and $1500 for a matching 60. Wasn't a great deal, but was a little under the going rate in my area (2000-2500). By those standards, I'd say it sounds good. I'd buy it. If for whatever reason you don't use it, it should be easy to sell.
 
Went ahead and bit the bullet and picked up a full float today didn't realize how heavy they are lol
 
When I got my D60 and 14bff the guy had them, 4 spring packs, and wheels and tires stuffed in the back of a mini van, that was hilarious.
I'm pretty sure he was a tweaker, cuz he said he loaded them by himself.
 
Is the 14 bolt a direct drop in? With the driveshaft I mean. I have my rear end out right now so if it is ill just throw my 14 bolt in.
 
Only if it came out of a 3/4 ton. The 1 tons need the spring perches and shock mounts moved.
 
Thank y'all for the fast reply, the blazer was a junk when I got it. Still junk but, for $200 couldnt pass. I took the old rusted rear end out and replaced it with a new one out of a 69k10. Noticed it had a broke leaf so I pulled it but while it's out might as well swap in for the 14bolt. Can't remember what I pulled it out of. Just don't want to have a new driveshaft made for the swap.
