finally got me a 14bFF... this is what i need:

open carrier
detroit
4.56 r&p
master overhaul kit
1410 yoke
spring plates
U-bolts for 3.5"-4" block
1" zero rates or 3.5"-4" blocks
shock mounts
and... maybe disc brakes if the price is right

also need 3/4 ton 8-lug 10 bolt/D44 stuff:
hubs, rotors, & caliper mounting plates
*must be from '77+ axle

could also use some 15x10 8-lug wheels

if you got any of this, or know where i can get the new gears, overhaul kit, & detroit cheap.... let me know..

You can use your existing spindles and calipers with the 1977-87 D44/10 bolt 3/4 ton hubs, rotors and backing plates.

I'm going to pickup a 14bolt that has 4.56's in it but I'm going to 5.13's. SO I will have 4.56 and the spacer to get them ona 4.10-down carrier on Ebay hopefully first of next week. how big of a hurry are you in for them? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

oh really? cool. i had heard that the 3/4 ton spindles/bearings were bigger.... guess that means less for me to buy, cool /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif

Spindles and bearings are the same as long as you stick with parts from the same generation. 71-76 are the small bearings and 77-87(91) are the large bearings.

cool, thanks /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
i guess i got my $24.95 worth of info out of this thread alone. /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif

to the tiggetytisop

think i'm getting hooked up with some spring plates...
open carrier and detroit may have to wait.
i do NEED disc brakes now. drums are toast.
prolly just stick with 1350 joint too instead of 1410.

i could use an Angle Grinder, if someone's got one in decent shape that works good. /forums/images/graemlins/grind.gif

I've got some D44 calipers for your rear disk conversion if your interested pm me /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
