I have done some searching around here but everything seems to lead me back to a full float rear. The semi float and full float disk brake settups are not interchangeable are they?

On the assumption that they are not what is needed to do a disk brake conversion? I was thinking about trying to find a late model 2500 HD and pull the entire 14bolt SF out from under it. Would have the disc brakes and E-brake already there? Is this feasable for an 86 burb? would I be better/cheaper to just find a FF to swap under it? The burban will be used as a driver and tow vehicle. Very little (if any) offroad use at all.

Thnaks for everyone's ideas and experiences on this in advance.

I have been watching for the same info. I believe it state on ruffstuffs website that the brackets are interchangable. I am not sure on the rotors though. There was a guy on here that had a tough time getting everything to line up with his SF.

I think we talked about this awhile back, and I don't *think* the 14SF had disks, unless maybe the Hummer does?

If there is one out there, and you could get it complete to include the cables, you could probably make it work. (if width isn't a problem)

My 2005 GMC 2500HD has a 14 semi float under it whit disk brakes and e-brake settup already there. That was the ones I was referring to when talking about a swap.

Does anyone know if the FF brake stuff will fit the Sf axle?
