14 bolt SEMI-floater roll call...

If there's any question to axleshaft strength, I've had all 4 wheels no less than 3' off the ground before.

If there's any question to axleshaft strength, I've had all 4 wheels a few feet off the ground before. No, I wasn't sober, and yes, it was a very rough landing. Not nearly as horrible as you'd expect though.

Yep,
As a matter of fact, I think I was the first to swap one in and put Disc's on it. Love it, and I feel that its a better option vs. the FF. Well, unless you are running 44's, but other than that, there isn't a real reason for a FF, they HOG WAY TOO MUCH GROUND CLEARANCE!!! May as well drag a boat ancher with you off road!

THe 6 lug axleshafts are just a little longer than the 8 luggers. The spacer was to move the bearings little more outboard so there would be no question that the bearing is riding fully on the machined surface of the shaft. During initial buildup I noticed that the bearings would have come very close if not over the edge slightly of the bearing surface of the axleshaft. Prolly could have gotten away without them but my brother in law is a machinist

Cool. How much did you pay for the 6 lug shafts?
