14b ff/12b frankenstein. What locker?

Yeah yeah I'm gonna get a full floater when I can afford the 8 lug wheels and outers too.

That's exactly what I did. 3/4 ton conversion to my D44 and a 14FF with a Detroit.

You will need to set the axle on jack stands, pull the tires, remove the drums, unbolt the 4 bolts that hold the bearing retainer on and pull the shafts. Count the splines (though as aforementioned both 12 and 14 bolts are 30 spline) and measure the diameter of the shaft at the splines (12 bolt shafts are 1.31", 14 bolt shafts are 1.625" NOT 1.5"). Measure the length of the shafts too.

This doesn't take much time or work, you can even do one side at a time to lose less fluid from the diff. This is the only way you will know for sure if you can put a locker in this axle.

If your axle uses 14 bolt sized shafts (1.625", 30 spline) you can use any FF 14 bolt locker.

If your axle uses any other shafts you won't be able to use a locker because nobody makes a FF14 bolt locker using anything other than the stock (again, 1.625" 30 spline) shafts.
