14b SF same brakes as 10b?

I know their both 6 lugs, but are the backing plates/brake shoes the same as the 10b? Just curious.

Not all 14 bolt SFs are 6 lug.

Some that have 11" brakes will use the same shoes as a 10 bolt.

No, the backing plates are NOT the same. Also, GM discontinued the backing plates for the 14 bolt SF with 11" brakes.

I made my 10 bolt ones fit, but I'm not proud of them, nor would I recommend that anybody use a 1/2" diameter drill bit as a grinder to make their own brake backing plates. And I'm still not sure how well my rear brakes work, but they seem to be alright.

Anyway, the short answer is simply no.

all of the 8 lug 14sf's I've seen had 13'' drums, don't know about the 6 lugs though.
