14bff help

iam planning on swapping axles on my 81 k5 i have a 10b in the front and 12b in the rear and iam looking for a 14bff and a dana60. my questions are if its a gov lock is it worth buying the 14b or if its open can i weld it and still have good street use. ill probly be driving this on the street more than offroad. sorry i tried searching but just got more confused, i think.

If you get a good deal its well worth it. Finding open 14 bolts are real easy to do also.
