I am planning to make them out of 1/2 plate, what are the deminsions?? How far apart are the holes??

any special reason you're making them and not buying? i have a brand new set of GM plates i'd be willing to part with. PM me.
Lengthwise front to back the hole spacing is 4", and side to side the spacing is 3 1/8"
