I thought it was only to get a wider WMS-WMS to run H1's.
Someone has done it since I have been here, I just can't remember who.
I haven't seen mention of it for a long time. I'm curious as to what disc conversion setup was used in conjuction with the swap. I think I know what Emmetology used. Not 100% though.
I'll have to PM Dremu... Or yell.
DREMU!!!!

Why would you want to do this? The reason GM kept the rear narrower is for better steering.I like having the rear narrower.Especially on a trail rig.It lets the rear follow the front around rocks and such. With the rear the same width it tends to track inside.I purchased your D70HD disc setup minus the rotors. I haven't got it mounted yet, still need calipers. 14BFF SRW Hubs make the width 77.5" to match a 77" DRW D60F.

. if im wrong somebody please steer me straight.the reason for doing this is to run unmoddified H1 wheels, wich have about 7" of backspacing. with this setup it would be the same width as a stock rear with a 3.5" backspaced wheel. i think. if im wrong somebody please steer me straight.
and muddybuddy has done this. check out his ride (3rd one down)
