12 bolts are the only way to go:pimp:. 12 > 8. more is always better:D

OK, so you guys are doing this swap on a Dana 70HD. Which is a dually. You're swapping a dana 70HD dually hub for a 14Bff Single wheel hub? Is that the case for those that have done the swap?

I got some measuring to do.

New product maybe?

I have not done it, but yes that is what you do. I had plans to do this with a wide 14FF but they are hard to find.

yeah the single wheel hubs have a WMS further out a couple inches, and it gets pretty close to the dually front 60. most of the guys around here dont run rear brakes at all or just use a tcase brake.

I'm going to compare a 70 SRW hub to a 14BFF SRW hub. Just by a quick glance, I think the 14BFF hub has the wheel mount surface just slightly wider than the 70.

kert, check this old thread out, should help you out a bunch and save you some time, its got all the measurements and side by side comparison. i used this to figure my setup out as well.

the search button is your friend, noob:p::haha: been a long time, but you posted in that thread, and he bought the stuff from you (as did i):)

I brought a 70hd with 14bolt hubs on from a guy in indy i think. from what he told me you made the disc brake stuff on it .

This is a pic of a d70hd 14 bolt hubs. I can not get a 16" dually wheel to fit it

Everybody so far is using a 70HD. I'm using a bastard axle that is a bit different than the HD. For all external comparisons, it'd be just like a 70 but not entirely certain its a 70 either. It's a mess.:haha:

what the hell are you doing then!? lol

Well, after some measurements and comparisons, nothing.

Axle I have the hub will go on and would move the WMS out a bit. Not much really. Axle flange pattern is all together different.

The front dually hubs have 2 different mounting surfaces, one for the rotor and one for the wheel. Changing the wheel mounting surface location on the rear axle won't do anything to make it easier to mount
H-1s since the rotor and brake caliper are moving with the wheel mounting surface. I would think that if you wanted to use the H-1s you could use the SRW hubs and put a spacer on the inside of the hub to move the wheel mounting surface away from rotor to give you clearance for the
H-1s. I haven't done this, never used H-1s so I don't have any actual experience but that is the way it looks from here behind the keyboard.
