can any one post a pick of what an open dif. looks like on a 14bff. i just pulled one out of spare crap my pops had lying around and am not sure if i want to use it if i cant lock it. info on what i may be looking for would help to.

Thats an open case, with a detroit in it, it has 4 posts around the ring gear where the spiders go. a gov loc will be smoother, you can see the clutches in the side and it will have 3 posts.
