I will start by saying I have another yoke on the way, but do not plan on installing it till I can do it right.

Anyways, disconnected my driveshaft from my 14bff the other day to do some other work and in the process of loosening the bolts that hold the ujoint on, one broke about 3/4" in. well I drill it out and stuck a easyout in it, and it broke. After a few hours of getting it out with no luck I decided I will tap the hole to 3/8" to hold it till I get another yoke on.

My question of the day is, The 3/8 bolt goes in the hole about 3/4" and tightens up great.

HOW LONG WILL IT LAST ?

How tight was your ujoint nut? It must have been excessively tight or had major rust. Don't they only require about 15ft/lbsto be tightened?
