14ff Powertrax Lock-Right locker how do they hold up?

I've had a powertrax in the rear of my blazer w/ 10 bolts, 4.56s and 35s for years. It's holding up fine.

good to know. my son is on a budget and is looking to get a locker so we just wanted to know if this would hold up or not

I have a Lock-Right in the rear of my 1982 K30, and while it has been mostly retired, I beat it mercilessly when I did use it.

I didn't like the lock rite I had in my front 10bolt. But who knows how old it was.

For that same -ish price you can get a used detroit. I love my detroit

I have a Lock Right in my Dana 60 under my 1990 K5, and it has never let me down yet.

The advantage is that you can physically make the Lock-right big for the 14 FF and hold up good. I've ran one in my front D60 for years with both 38 and 40" tires with no issues even after several broken axle shafts. However I have two friends with 42's and big-blocks that broke their front D60 Lock-rights......but again, they are running built big-blocks and 42's and use all of the throttle.

I've had a couple lock rights fail, both warranted.

I'm hesitant to run them now.

But the 14 bolt f.f one is much the same style as a Detroit. It's kind of a toss up though.

That being said, I'm happy with my Yukon grizzly's.
