1966 Chevy C20

You can see it in the firewall and in the bed some. Kind of a mint green or maybe teal green.
I like that color. My dad had a '60 Belair with the Teal/mint green and ivory top. It's a great combo.

I told my wife I was going to get her a shirt with shoulder pads and myself a mullet wig so we could relive the early 90s on date nights. :haha:
Haha, you knew you'd get shit when you posted that pic, but we ALL had 'em back then.
Cool old truck for sure. Every one I've ever seen that had that much primer on them was rusted to hell. Happily surprised that this one was so rust free.

Sweet project. I vote simple FI and an OD 5 speed.

Looks like that 327 has the scripted VC's with the staggered bolt pattern? Does it have the power pack heads?

I'm new to 327s. I haven't been able to find out much about them. 66 was the first year they were in the pickups and they are 220hp.

If you search 327 you get mostly corvettes and camaros.

Real indicator would be the casting numbers.

Found a very cool pdf of a scanned book on 1966 trucks. I'll try to parse out the pertinent info and post here.

Oh yeah, I have a couple of Rochester 4GV carbs here, if you need any little parts, or want a rebuildable spare?

I'm planning to pull the carb and put a FiTech on it. I will save the carb for posterity sake. I couldn't bring myself to get rid of an original like that.

Makes perfect sense. Pretty much a museum piece as a best case, and a poor paperweight otherwise...just thought I'd offer. :coolblue:

I appreciate the offer. I never knew they existed until today. LOL Apparently the 4GC is two 2bbl carburetors jointed together.

I did figure out that I will likely have to swap intake manifolds unless I can hunt up an adapter.

A buddy of mine pulled this 63 230 4 speed C20 out of a barn where it had been sitting since 1990.

These pictures are after we got it back to his place, only about 4 miles from where it had sat for so long.

This is after it moved under it's own power for the first time in 25 years, with new points and a rebuilt carb.

Edit:
It only sat for 25 years, not 35.

A real barn find. I think that color may be very close to what mine was originally.

Why again with the fuel command failure system?

And I have a aluminum square bore intake for sale
